Hi! I’m Natalia, and I’ll be your myofunctional therapist.

I am an OMFT, Registered Dental Hygienist, Buteyko Breathing Method instructor, skier, surfer and volleyball player. My goal is to augment your airway and cranial motion, increase your oxygenation & to correct your orofacial myofunctional disorders so you can reach your full genetic and athletic potential.

I practice as a licensed registered dental hygienist in Brooklyn, New York at Brooklyn Oak Dental Care, and I also practice orofacial myofunctional therapy and breathing reeducation privately. I graduated from Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, FL in 2010. My passions include mindfulness, osteopathy, functional dentistry and the body's inherent ability to create deep lasting to heal itself. I have trained with Buteyko Clinic International, the International Association of Orofacial Myology, the Academy of Myofunctional Therapy, the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration - MNRI® Method, and I completed all three levels with the ALF Educational Institute in Quantum ALF treatment, of which I myself am also a patient. My goal is to help augment cranial motion by restoring correct orofacial myofunction and breathing in patients in and out of functional dental appliances and those with tethered oral tissues. I see patients of all ages and levels of need including performers and public speakers. To work with me on breathing reeducation or orofacial myofunctional therapy, please call me at (347) 966-3060.

As a child living in Mexico, I suffered two major dog attacks to my face, specifically to my mouth and right eye which left me with some muscle function imbalances and facial asymmetries. I also had a lisp, a lip licking habit, a snorting tick, and a furious nail biting habit all of which I eventually corrected on my own with a lot of hard work. Thankfully I have always been fascinated with my own tongue and exercising it and this helped me restore balance to my face and airway. Also, in the spring of 2019 I experienced an exhausting bout of asthma which I also alleviated on my own using the Buteyko Breathing Method, and the asthma has never returned. Unknowingly and fortunately, I had been practicing an intuitive method of myofunctional therapy on myself since childhood and firmly support its life lasting benefits as I am living proof of them.

As a registered dental hygienist I'm practiced in the principals of prevention and wellness, and I feel strongly about early intervention, however, it is never too late to begin. I have ten years of extensive clinical experience, and pediatrics is my passion. My practice in pediatrics includes mobile dentistry to schools in rural areas in Virginia, inner city DC medicaid clinics, public oral health programs and creating yearly oral hygiene education in schools in central Florida and private practices in Brooklyn’s urban and Chesidic communities. I have also practiced in general, traveling, “celebrity”, spa, corporate and private practices wherein I have had the privilege of treating patients of all levels of physical and cognitive abilities. As a healthcare provider and artist, my dedication to the human condition is deep and vast as I implement tools and techniques from my diverse background of myofunctional therapy, dental hygiene, energy work, acting, dance, movement, and singing, providing patients with a uniquely rich multidisciplinary approach.
